    • There are two companies that offer daily approximately 2 hour Circle Island Tours. Leaving from the Kona International Airport Commuter Terminal they follow the coast around the island with a narrated view of the coastline, volcano, lush valleys and waterfalls that cannot be seen from the ground. The 1.5 hr Sea Cliff Tour goes along towering historical majestic ocean cliffs while the 15 mile Waterfall Tour goes through one of the oldest rainforests on the Big Island of Hawaii. The Deluxe ATV Tour is a 22 mile combination of both of these tours on private land not accessible to the general public.     • Greenwell Farms is a real working coffee farm with walking tours Monday through Saturday of a real working Hawaiian farm where you can see their coffee fields and processing facilities. Depending upon the season, you will see and learn about each stage of production of true Kona Coffee.     • D. Uchida Farm is a 5.5 acre historic coffee farm first homesteaded in 1900. A living history program tells a story through the use of historic buildings, artifacts, and authentic landscapes as well as costumed interpreters who demonstrate traditional crafts, agricultural activities, and the everyday tasks of people from the past. The Kona Coffee Living History Farm brings the coffee pioneer’s story to life by depicting the daily lives of early Japanese immigrants during the period of 1920-1945.       • Atlantis Adventures Submarine explores the bay off Kailua Kona going down to 100. This is a wonderful way to see underwater marine inhabitants in a real comfortable air-conditioned submarine without getting wet. Children must be 36 inches or taller to ride the submarine. Passengers must be physically capable of ascending and descending a near vertical ladder in order to ride the submarine.       • Big Island Country Club Golf-Course is set 2,000 feet up the flank of Maunakea, overlooking the Kohala Coast, Big Island Country Club is a mountain golf experience that features an abundance of water.       • Waikoloa Village Golf-Courses is 15 minutes up the hill from Waikoloa Resort. It is a public course frequented by residents and visitors looking for hidden gems. Set at 1,000 feet above sea level with a backdrop of the majesty of Maunakea and Maunaloa mountains on one side and a view down to the ocean on the other, golf here is a relaxed experience.       • Volcano Golf & Country Club, When you read about “playing golf on top of a volcano” in Hawaii, it’s Volcano Golf & Country Club the writers are referring to.       • Naniloa Volcanoes Golf-Course is heavily-wooded course offers nine holes and only 2,800-odd yards, The tree-lined fairways require players to drive the ball straight off the tee. Though short, it’s a course that can offer some challenge and certainly a load of fun.

      • Hilo Municipal Golf-Course sports some wonderful views of Hilo Bay. The layout is mostly flat with its greens slightly elevated from the fairways, a style of design that asks a bit more precision on your approach shot, but also allows players to run the ball up along the ground. There are no bunkers on the course, either, which makes it very friendly for higher-handicap players. Hilo Muni is typically very green with tall stands of eucalyptus trees, flowering monkeypods, weeping banyan trees, coconut palms and other greenery beautifying this fun course. Go expecting fun.
